TTArtisan has finally released a 75mm f/2 lens for the X-mount, and it fills a noticeable gap in the Fujicron lineup.
This lens isn’t just made for portraits—it also works great for street photography, especially if you prefer a bit more reach.
It’s compact, solid built, and autofocus works surprisingly well. In short, it fits right in with the popular Fujinon f/2 primes, and it might become a go-to option for many Fuji users.
TTArtisan 75mm f/2 for Fujifilm – The Missing Fujicron
If you already use the 35mm f/2, 50mm f/2, or 90mm f/2 from Fujifilm, you’ll immediately understand the appeal of this lens. The TTArtisan 75mm f/2 sits perfectly between the 50mm and 90mm, giving you a roughly 112mm full-frame equivalent on Fujifilm APS-C cameras.
That makes it very close to the classic 105mm focal length that many photographers love for portraits.
This lens adds a useful option for anyone who wants something longer than 50mm but doesn’t want to carry the larger and more expensive 90mm or 56mm f/1.2 or orther 56mm lenses like Sigma 56mm f1.4 and Viltrox 56mm f1.7.

TTartisan 75mm f2 is compact and built to Last.
This lens is metal from front to back. The aperture ring clicks satisfyingly into place.
It’s lighter and smaller than the new Fujifilm WR lenses, yet it exudes a premium feel.
Whether you’re mounting it on the Fujifilm X-T50, Fujifilm X-Pro3, or even the older Fujifilm X-T3, it feels well balanced and comfortable.
The included lens hood —somewhere between a square and rose petal design—does an excellent job in controlling flares while adding to its unique aesthetic.
Honestly, the build, size, and ergonomics? 10 out of 10.
But, if I have to neat pick a little – the lens back cap (that has the usb for updating the firmware) they could have make it more tighter.

I’ve tried nearly every telephoto prime available for Fujifilm — 56mm f/1.4 from Sigma, the Viltrox variants, even the lovely but Fujifilm 60mm f/2.4 Macro. But none struck the perfect balance of length, size, and usability like this one.

One of my biggest gripes with 56mm lenses is the limited working distance. For full-body portraits or candid shots on the street, they often fall short.
The TTArtisan 75mm f/2 gives you the reach you need without making you feel like you’re lugging around a full-frame tele.
Compared to the 60mm f/2.4, the TTArtisan is slightly larger, but still very compact.
It’s sharper and brighter, and the extra focal length really makes a difference in your ability to isolate subjects and compress backgrounds. It’s practical, light, and doesn’t weigh down your camera bag.

The TTArtisan 75mm f/2 for Fujifilm, performs beautifully.
I’ve used it on both Sony A7C and now Fujifilm bodies, and I must say, I prefer its rendering on Fujifilm’s sensors. There’s something organic, almost filmic, about the way this lens works with Fuji’s color science.
- Sharpness: Clean and crisp, but not overly digital. It renders with character.
- Details: Resolves 40MP sensors without any problems.
- Color: Rich and vibrant, with that special TTArtisan blend.
- Bokeh: Depending on your background, the bokeh can range from smooth and creamy to a bit busy. But overall, it separates subjects beautifully.
There is some purple fringing in high-contrast scenes—but it’s easy to correct in post with a single click.
Also it has a rendering similar to a Zeiss lens – very special, very nice, very unique.
TTArtisan 75mm f/2 for Fujifilm X Mount Autofocus
Now here’s the surprise: autofocus performance is excellent.
Using eye-AF in continuous mode (AF-C) and custom zones on the Fujifilm X-T50, I had zero issues tracking moving subjects. Yes, you read that right—this third-party lens handled Fuji’s 40MP sensor like a champ.
In AF-S it’s a slower, but not a deal breaker. I have zero complaints on Fujifilm X-T50 regarding the AF speed and accuracy.
It’s not a sports lens by any means, but for portraits, events, and even light action, it’s more than capable. I was actually shocked at how well it performed.
TTArtisan 75mm f/2 X Mount Is Amazing for Portraits
This lens really shines when it comes to portrait photography.
With its 112.5mm equivalent focal length, you get a flattering compression that helps separate your subject from the background.
The f/2 aperture gives you nice background blur without making the depth of field too shallow, which is helpful for keeping facial features in focus.
It’s also light and compact, making it easier to move around during portrait sessions—especially outdoors or on-location.
Whether you’re doing close-up headshots or full-body portraits, this lens gives you enough working distance to stay comfortable without shouting directions from too close.

If you shoot with the Fujifilm X-Pro3, note that frame lines won’t be 100% accurate in the optical viewfinder.
This isn’t unique to the TTArtisan lens; it’s a known limitation with OVFs on that system. For precise composition, switch to the EVF.
TTArtisan 75mm f/2 For Fujifilm X Mount Vs Samyang 75mm f/1.8?
Simple:

- It includes a physical aperture ring
- It feels like a true Fujicron
The Samyang is a fine lens, but if you’re buying into the Fuji system because you love the tactile experience, the TTArtisan is a better match.
